Welcome

Welcome to the Cramond Boat Club, situated at the mouth of the River Almond, only 4 miles from the centre of Edinburgh.

We cater for all types of small craft, including dinghies, small cruisers and motorboats. The Club organises dinghy and keelboat racing, open regattas, cruises and family fun days.

The Cramond Boat Club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre and is approved for training Club members in the RYA National Sailing and Power Boating schemes.

The clubhouse includes changing rooms, workshop and storage as well as a bar and function room.

On Monday evening we had another two closely contested races in our spring dinghy series. In the first race Paul Wilson sailing his Laser Radial/ILCA6 lead from start to finish with Jamie Calder taking second and Alex MacAulay third both also sailing Laser Radial/ILCA6. Free Sail, Sunday 12th May

Six dinghies enjoyed a lively free sail on Sunday. An enjoyable easterly breeze freshened up into a sometimes testy F3/4 with a reasonable chop, providing some spicy fun for the newer sailors. Thanks to Paul Sizeland and Keith Driver for providing safety cover. More »

Excellent Opening Cruise

Our opening cruise took place this past weekend and was a great success. Five yachts and one dinghy took part and enjoyed a lovely sunny sail to Limekilns on Saturday afternoon even if the light north easterly was in short supply from time to time. A superb day on Saturday for the second Sea Monkeys session of the season. The weather was perfect for students to practice their skills in the sunshine. With nine single handed dinghies out on the water there was a lot for the two safety boat teams to keep their eyes on. More »

Sea Monkeys Underway

Recently our kids training programme (The Sea Monkeys) got underway.
